Sister Seekers

The Red Sisters enforce their Queen’s edict in their underground city of Sivaraus, in balance and conflict with the Priestesses of the Spider Queen. Sirana Thalluen is a young Noble with the misfortune and opportunity in attracting the attention of both.

In lust and quests for power, all in Sivaraus keep secrets which could bring them down, and none more vulnerable than young caits beneath their matrons. As Sirana’s own power grows, her secrets will surface, and she knows she cannot survive alone.

Dive into darkness and a matriarchal world searching for light, no matter its source.

“This series has such a grasp on your imagination that it is almost impossible to set down. In depth character building and deeply woven interactions is the hallmark of a great story and this has that in spades.”

“What if…” Irrwaer began.
Jaunda leaned closer. “If?”
At least she wanted to play.
“What if Juliran authorized me to make a trade with you? An act for an act?”
The Corpora huffed through her nose, conveying all her skepticism for deals with the Sanctuary in one breath. Irrwaer was certain that sentiment should be returned in full, but she worked off what her Priestess had taught her.
Prove useful to a Sister, and you will see her again.
That could be a warning or a promise.

Sons to Keep is a 40K-word novella and prequel for the Sister Seekers. We are introduced the Davrin, Etaski’s Dark Elves, and their underground city of Sivaraus, the first of many settings in the series.
These events occur a century before the birth of the main protagonist, Sirana, in No Demons But Us.
Their effects still ripple out from the center of a tightly woven tapestry.
Sirana, a Dark Elf with blue eyes and white hair, wearing a red fantasy leather uniform

No Demons but Us

Book 1 of the Sister Seekers series

I dared to wonder if that Red Sister hadn’t been showing me a mask. Was that how she was in truth? Did Red Sisters, in their power, have that luxury to strut about however they pleased, to laugh when and how they liked?

Book 2 of the Sister Seekers series

I reached to peel up her eyelid, standing to lean over and look at her pupil, how it responded to the light, if it was the same as before. Pure terror punched through an unseen barrier, rushing straight down my spine; abruptly Reishel’s red-violet eye focused on me. She saw me.

The Daedal Pit

Book 3 of the Sister Seekers series

“Half of the Sanctuary is illusion as compared to what is real, Sirana. The Priestesses would have you believe standing in their mere presence places you upon the edge of the Abyss, that this power presses the walls, aching for the invitation to be controlled. The realm of the Spider Queen is neither as simple nor as obedient as that.”

Surfacing

Book 4 of the Sister Seekers series

I blinked, tearing my eyes from the stars.
“There is something about this place,” Rausery murmured. “The Valsharess blocks and punishes curiosity. Any idea of expansion. She restrains us down there, yet She knows about lives and objects up here, and not all from me. I don’t see how, but it is so.” She shifted her gaze to me. “Or you wouldn’t be here, and She wouldn’t be Queen.”

Black Witch Death Mage

Book 5 of the Sister Seekers series

“Rethinking being so at ease with a murderer?” Gavin asked.
“I think you’re in like company, apprentice. You bore torture while too small to defend yourself. Later, you denied their reasoning why you must suffer at their hands. You ended their enjoyment in using you to justify their existence. I approve.”
Gavin looked at me with suspicion. “You’ll pardon my saying this is exactly the reassurance I would expect from a devil.”

Book 6 of the Sister Seekers series

My eyes remained open as he cut off my air. The black metal sank in as though he were naked, yet I strained to push it deeper. The demon shrieked in astonished delight, my ears popped, and suddenly the blade seemed caught in solid stone instead of flesh.

Book 7 of the Sister Seekers series

“A simple request,” Mourn said. “Do not touch anyone in Yong-wen.”
“I did not touch her,” Gavin denied.
“Um,” I began. “You pushed her when she didn’t move fast enough.”
The dead monk wrinkled his nose. “A nudge only. She needed the help.”
Mourn pointed his claw. “You are not mortal anymore, Deathwalker. Please do not do that again.”

Battle for Manalar

Book 8 of the Sister Seekers series

Mourn opened his mouth wide as a yawning cat.
That’s a lot of teeth.
I settled next to him in the grass, removing my right glove as his tongue curled back and to the side. Only as my finger extended between the rows of molars did this strike me as odd. I wouldn’t have needed to do this with the half-blood’s Human and birth forms.
What other shapes can he take to fulfill our Bargain?

Awake in the Dark

Book 9 of the Sister Seekers series

“Always tempting with cornered prey, isn’t it? Yet, I know you enjoy the anticipation as well.”
Jaunda arched her brow at the Dragon as she pressed the bulbed base of her Feldeu against her slit. “Oh? How do you know that?”
“You told me.” He grinned. “Or rather, showed me.”
“Spying on me in Reverie, too?”
“As you drew closer, and lonelier, in your goal. Your dreams are so vivid, Red Sister, you make it hard to look away.”
